Ahmed Abu Abla, head of the team’s medical staff, stated that Akram Tawfik will undergo additional medical scans after returning to Egypt on Sunday.

Tawfik, our midfielder, arrived in Cairo in the early hours of Sunday and is expected to undergo additional medical scans after being injured with the Egyptian national team during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Tawfik tore his ACL while representing Egypt against Nigeria in the country’s opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations.
