Al Ahly women’s basketball team won the first-ever Super Cup after defeating Heliopolis SC 92-62 on Tuesday in the final.

Eastern Company Hall witnessed a strong performance from our ladies, as we were keen to win since the beginning of the game.

Dina Amr, Kayla Thornton, Soraya Mohamed, Radwa Mohamed, Farida Wael, and Nadine El Selaawi were among some of Al Ahly’s key players in today’s game, who guided us to clinch our first-ever Super Cup title.

The Red Eagles dominated the game, thanks to the solid defense and quick counter-attacks which led the team to come out victorious in all four quarters of today’s match, with the following results: 22-17 in the first quarter, 39-29 in the second quarter, 75-42 in the third quarter and 92-62 in the last quarter.

On a similar note, manager, Ali Hashem recently guided our women’s team to win the National League after beating Sporting SC.
