Al Ahly beat Al-Ittihad Misurata 4-2 in friendly

Al Ahly’s first team secured a 4-2 victory over Libya’s Al-Ittihad Misurata in a friendly played on Monday evening at El Tetsh Stadium as part of the team’s preparations during the ongoing international break.

Yassin Marei, Hussein El Shahat, Ahmed Reda and Soufiane Benjdida scored Al Ahly’s four goals.

The friendly was part of the coaching staff’s plan to make the most of the international break by giving a number of players valuable playing time while assessing their technical and physical levels ahead of the next stage of the season and the resumption of official competition.

The coaching staff had also promoted seven players from the club’s youth sector to train with the first team and cover for the absence of the club’s international players.

They are Zidan Nagah, Mohamed El-Sayed, Yassin Mohamed, Mohab Wael, Omar Abu Ghazala, Abdelrahman Rami “Mano,” and Ahmed El-Sheikh.
