Al Ahly's head coach Pitso Mosimane decided to give the players a 48-hour rest after the team's trip to Tanzania to face Simba SC. 

Al Ahly's delegation in Tanzania returned back to Cairo in the early hours of Wednesday morning after the game against Simba SC in Matchday 2 of the CAF Champions League. 

The Red Eagles will resume training on Friday afternoon at El Tetsh stadium to start preparations for the upcoming match in the Egyptian League against Tala'ea El Gaish SC.
