Al Ahly Demand an Official Investigation from EFA against 3 Referee Mistakes

Football

Al Ahly sent an official letter today to the Egyptian Federation of Football to demand an official investigation for the following points:

1- The frequent mistakes of the referees, which caused Al Ahly to lose 6 points in 9 games.

2- Appointing the referee of our latest game against Pyramids FC, who denied Al Ahly from a rightful penalty and disallowed a rightfully scored goal. The same referee was also appointed in Al Ahly’s game against Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Cup, which also witnessed a lot of mistakes, in which he recognized all and apologized about them in the media.

3- Diminishing the role of the VAR referee in Al Ahly’s games, which comes after the frequent mistakes that are committed by the field referees and the VAR referees in Al Ahly’s games. Those mistakes caused Al Ahly to lose 6 points in 9 games, and despite that the club sent an official letter to the EFA on the 10th of October, 2020, to address these mistakes in order to avoid spreading tension among Egyptian fans of all clubs and to achieve justice on all the clubs, however, the referees’ mistakes went on.

This series of mistakes started in Misr Lel Makkasa game, when Mohamed Sherif’s rightful goal was disallowed. In addition to us being denied a penalty for our player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba in Ceramica Cleopatra’s game.

Then, disallowing Ayman Ashraf’s rightfully scored goal against National Bank of Egypt SC’s game and denying Al Ahly from another three penalties against Wadi Degla SC, Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC, and National Bank of Egypt SC.

Also, during our previous game against Pyramids FC on Tuesday, the referee disallowed Bwalya’s rightfully scored goal and denied a rightful penalty for Mohamed Sherif.

Al Ahly’s board of directors affirmed in their official letter that the club is waiting for the decisions of the Egyptian Federation of Football in order to ensure equality among all the clubs.
