Kahraba, Sherif, Bwalya Guide the Eagles to a Precious Victory

Alahly, Egyptian Premier League, Football

Keeping the winning streak alive, Al Ahly clinched another sensational victory after defeating Aswan SC 3-1 tonight in the Egyptian Premier League.

Thanks to three goals from Kahraba, Sherif, and Bwalya, the Red Eagles clinched another three important points at Petrosport Stadium.

First Half:

It was clear since the start of the match that the Red Eagles wanted to take the lead, as we kept looking for the early opener.

In the tenth minute, El Shahat made his first appearance in the game after shooting the ball next to the right post of the opposition’s goal.

After twelve minutes, El Shahat sent a brilliant long ball to Kahraba, who opened the score for the Red Eagles in a beautiful manner.

Our opponent, Aswan SC, then started to look for the equalizer in the minutes that followed the goal, but Al Ahly’s defense stood their ground.

In the 38th minute, Aswan were able to level the score, but the VAR denied their equalizer due to offside.

The final minutes of the first half went by with both teams failing to find the net until the referee blew his half-time whistle.

Second Half:

The current title holders, Al Ahly, came into the second half aiming to double the score, but our efforts weren’t effective in the first 20 minutes.

With only 25 minutes left on the clock, Ali Maaloul’s amazing cross found Sherif inside the box, who converted the ball into the back of the net to give us a 2-0 lead.

Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly’s head coach, used his bench for the first time in the game in the 70th minute, replacing Kahraba with Walter Bwalya.

In the 75th and 76th minute, Maaloul and Sherif made way for Mahmoud Wahid and Junior Ajayi, respectively.

In the 81st minute of the game, Mahmoud Metwaly ended the long wait on the sidelines due to injuries, making his first participation with the team in the league this season instead of Afsha. Saad Samir also replaced Ayman Ashraf in the same minute of the encounter.

After six minutes, Emmanuel Karbogi, Aswan’s player, scored Aswan’s only goal in the game.

The minutes that followed the goal saw high intensity, as our opponent aimed to level the score.

However, Bwalya, who entered in the second half, ended Aswan’s hopes to level the score after adding our third goal in the encounter after dribbling past the opposition’s goalkeeper.
