Al Ahly’s football first team was held to a 3-3 draw against El Gouna on Tuesday at Khaled Bichara Stadium in Matchday 33 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The First Half:

We had a slow start to the game and after seven minutes we were 1-0 behind as the home team broke the deadlock with a goal from Mohamed Naguib's header.

The Red Eagles pushed forward, searching for the equalizer, and our striker Salah Mohsen missed a clear chance to score, as his shot went over the bar.

In the 15th minute, Aliou Dieng was close to netting a goal but his header missed the target.

Salah missed another chance to score, as he went one against one with the opponent's goalkeeper but his shot was saved.

The home team stayed at the back to stop all our attempts to score and the first half ended with a 1-0 lead to El Gouna.

Second Half

The second half started with the same attacking approach from our players and a defensive wall from the home team.

After two early chances from Salah and Amr El Soulia, we had a golden chance to equalize the score after the referee whistled a penalty as Salah Mohsen was tackled inside the box. Our experienced penalty taker Ali Maaloul converted the penalty to make the score 1-1.

We did not need much time to take the lead as our in-form winger Hussein El Shahat was in the right place, waiting for a golden pass from El Soulia. El Shahat's first touch was enough to score the best goal of the day.

El Shahat was also behind our third goal in the game. Afsha broke the defense by a beautiful pass; El Shahat received the ball and sent a perfect pass to Mohamed Sherif, who put the ball in the back of the net.

Our opponent was able to revive their hopes after adding the second goal in the game by Mahmoud El Shabrawy, five minutes before the final whistle.

In the dying seconds of the game, El Gouna equalized the score from the penalty spot by Omar El Said.
