We claim the bronze medal for the fourth time in history

After a very exciting game, The Red Eagles obtain third place and the bronze medal in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, after defeating Urawa Reds 4-2.

The Eagles controlled most of the match, had a stable rhythm, and took advantage of the strong pressure added to the Japanese team’s defenses. Yasser Ibrahim scored our first goal in the 19th minute giving us the lead until the 25th, our South African forward Percy Tau doubled the score, and then the Japanese team scored their first goal just near the end of the first half, As the second-half whistle blew again, The Red Eagles still managed to control the tempo of the game right before a penalty kick was given to Urawa Reds, they managed to score their second goal making the score 2-2, but then, in crucial times, Ali Maaloul added the third and fourth goals in the second half, to give the Eagles the bronze medal. 

With this victory, We win the bronze medal for the fourth time in the club’s history, after climbing to the bronze podium in three different editions of the tournament, in 2006, 2021, and 2022.
