Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, spoke about the team’s important victory against Al Ittihad Alexandria Club in the Egyptian Premier League.

In his post match interview, Abdelhafiz stated that the determination of Al Ahly players was a key contributor to the team’s crucial win over Al Ittihad.

“We can take away a lot of positives from tonight’s game. First of all, is that we won the game right before the upcoming Cairo derby. Additionally, we can also turn the page on the last period and concentrate on what’s coming next.”

“Sometimes your not the best team in the game, but with your motivation and spirit you can win the encounter. I believe these aspects are very important as they can replace anything that you face.”

Abdelhafiz concluded by revealing that the team will enter a closed training camp on Saturday, two days prior to our league game against the club’s arch-rivals, Zamalek SC.
