Al Ahly Director of Football Sayed Abdelhafiz said that the victory over Al Mowakloon Al Arab SC is good preparation for the game against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Our new manager Pitso Mosimane’s era started with a victory as the Red Eagles defeated Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC 1-0 on Sunday in the 31th round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International stadium.
“Mosimane has everyone's support and we are doing our best to provide the best conditions to help him in his mission.” Abdelhafiz said.
Our starting goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy was forced to leave the pitch as he sustained an adductor muscle injury and he was replaced by Ali Lotfy.
“El Shenawy is set to have medical tests tomorrow to evaluate his injury.” Abdelhafiz added.
