Dr. Ahmed Abo Abla, Al Ahly's doctor, stated that he is in direct contact with the Egyptian national team medical staff to follow up on the condition of Akram Tawfik after suffering an ACL injury.
Abo Abla said that he reviewed the MRI that was done after the match and confirmed the diagnosis, adding that the player will undergo complete medical investigations when he returns to Cairo.
Abo Abla noted that the team's medical staff are preparing all the required medical arrangements before the surgery.
