Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, Al Ahly’s head of medical staff, announced that Hamdy Fathy, our midfielder, is expected to be out for around two months.
Abu Abla added that Fathy’s scan confirmed that the player has a radius fracture, which will cause him to cast his arm for around a month. Moreover, he stated that the player will undergo medical check-ups every week in order to know how well he is recovering.
“Fathy might be out for two months before he returns back and joins the team in the training sessions and matches. Such estimation is subject to how well the player will recover from the injury,” Abu Abla explained.
The 27-year-old, Fathy, picked up an injury on Thursday during Egypt’s match against Kenya in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifications.
