Al Ahly’s football team delegation arrived in Barcelona on Monday from Montanya to prepare for their friendly against FC Barcelona for the Joan Gamper Trophy.
The team are currently holding a pre-season training camp in Spain, which will run until 20 August.
The Red Eagles are scheduled to face Barcelona in their final friendly of the Spanish training camp on 19 August at Spotify Camp Nou as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy.
The coaching staff will use the match to assess the players’ physical and technical readiness and improve understanding between the team’s different lines.
They will then return to Egypt to begin the new season with a league game against Enppi at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, 23 August.
