Al Ahly calls for extraordinary general assembly on Friday, 19 September

The Board of Directors of Al Ahly Sporting Club, chaired by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, has invited all eligible voting members who have paid their annual membership fees for the 2024–2025 financial year to attend the club’s Extraordinary General Assembly on Friday, 19 September.

The meeting will convene to discuss and vote on the following agenda:

Approval of amendments to certain articles of Al Ahly’s statutes, in accordance with changes to Law No. 71 of 2017, as amended by Law No. 171 of 2025.

Meeting Procedures:

Registration and voting on the proposed amendments will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 19 September 2025, and continue until 7:00 p.m., with a pause for Friday prayers in accordance with the local prayer time. Registration will resume immediately after prayers.

The meeting will be considered valid with the attendance of at least 5,000 eligible members. At 7:00 p.m., the head of the Judicial Oversight Committee will announce whether the quorum has been met. If the quorum is achieved, the vote count will begin.

Voting will take place via official ballots distributed upon registration and will continue throughout the registration period.

Members must leave the premises after casting their votes.

Amendments will be adopted if approved by a majority of valid votes cast by participating members.

Eligibility Criteria:

* Only active members whose membership has been valid for at least one year as of the date of the meeting are eligible to attend and vote.

* Voting is in person only.

* Members may not authorize others to vote or attend on their behalf.

* Each member is entitled to one ballot only, regardless of any circumstances.

* Members must present official personal identification along with a valid Al Ahly membership card for the 2024–2025 season in order to participate in the meeting and vote.
