Al Ahly kick off star-studded U-16 global football showdown

All eyes will be on Al Ahly’s Nasr City branch as it hosts the inaugural International U-16 Tournament from 28 to 30 November 2025, featuring youth teams from top clubs around the world.

The three-day event brings together 18 academy sides, including Italy’s Juventus, Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen, and the UAE’s Barcelona Academy.

The tournament is a joint initiative between Al Ahly Football Company and Live Adventure Company.

The 18 teams have been drawn into three groups of six, with each side playing five round-robin matches.

The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.

Winners from the knockout round will move on to the semifinals, followed by the final and a third-place playoff.

Matches will be played on full-size natural grass pitches, with each game consisting of two 20-minute halves.
