Al Ahly’s 2005-born side have been crowned Egyptian Youth League champions, sealing the title with one round to spare.
The title was secured with a commanding 3-0 victory over NBE Club on Wednesday at Al Ahly’s Nasr City ground, in the sixth round of the competition’s final phase.
Samuel Obong opened the scoring in the first half with a powerful strike from inside the penalty area after meeting a cross from the left.
Obong doubled the lead in the second half, converting from close range after a corner.
Substitute Hossam Adel wrapped up the win, finishing a one-on-one with the goalkeeper to add a third and confirm Al Ahly SC’s title triumph.
