Al Ahly's Road to the Title

Al Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-1 in the CAF Champions League final on Friday night to secure the 9th title in our club's history. 

In our route to the title, we played 15 matches, won 11 matches, lost one match and 3 matches ended with a draw. 

Al Ahly won three away matches. Our players scored 36 goals and conceded only 7 goals while we kept the clean sheet on 8 occasions. 

Ali Maaloul opened Al Ahly's scoring tally in the competition against Atlabara FC in the first leg of the preliminary round which ended with a 4-0 win. 

Mohamed Magdy Afsha was the last player to score a goal for us in the competition as he scored the winning goal against Zamalek in the final. 

Our winger Hussein El Shahat is our team's top scorer in the competition with 6 goals.
