Al Ahly's head of medical staff Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla stated that Ali Maaloul suffered fatigue in his hamstring muscle, which forced him to leave the game against FC Bayern Munich in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals.
"We decided to withdraw him from the game to avoid worsening his injury."
