A draw against Pyramids in the Egyptian Premier League

The Red Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw against Pyramids in an intense game at Cairo International Stadium in the Egyptian Premier League.

The match started with high intensity from both sides, but Pyramids struck first in the 18th minute after a defensive error by Ramy Rabia, who accidentally deflected a cross into his own net.

The Reds responded with relentless pressure but struggled to convert their chances, ending the first half trailing 1-0.

The second half saw Al Ahly make a quick comeback. Although in the 49th minute Pyramids’ Mostafa Fathi scored from the spot, doubling their lead, just three minutes later, Hussein El Shahat delivered a perfect cross to Ramy Rabia, whose header shortened the gap, making the score 2-1.

In the 54th minute, Omar Kamal’s shot rebounded off the goalkeeper to Nejc Gradišar, who tapped in Al Ahly’s second goal, marking the Slovenian’s first-ever goal for the Reds.

Pyramids fought back, and in the 86th minute, after a VAR check, the Eagles were awarded a penalty. However, Emam Ashour, who took the shot, struck the crossbar, denying the Reds a late winner. The game then ended 2-2, with both teams each earning a point after a hard-fought match.
