El Shahat Picks Up a Knee Injury

Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al Ahly’s medical staff, stated that Hussein El Shahat suffers from a grade 1 sprain in his medial collateral ligament.

Abu Abla added that El Shahat underwent an x-Ray on Tuesday after feeling pain in his knee during our 3-0 victory against Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa in the CAF Champions League final.

El Shahat, Al Ahly’s attacking midfielder, is currently preforming a recovery program and is expected to return back to the team’s full training within the next ten days.

The Red Eagles returned back to training today after having a 48-hour rest after winning the CAF Champions League title for the tenth time in the club’s history on Saturday in Morocco.
