Al Ahly’s delegation arrived in Cairo on Saturday after winning the CAF Super Cup against Morocco’s RS Berkane on Friday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The Red Eagles completed their mission in Doha and won the CAF Super Cup trophy for the seventh time in our history, extending our record in the competition.
Moreover, this victory handed us our 22nd continental trophy, allowing us to close the gap with Real Madrid to four titles.
Furthermore, Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly’s head coach, decided to give Al Ahly players a 48-hour rest after the return of the team’s delegation to Cairo.
The players will be rested on Sunday and Monday and they will return to training on Tuesday to start preparations for the Egyptian Cup encounter against Enppi.
