Amouta addresses players as Al Ahly begin preparations for Canal SC clash
Al Ahly’s senior football team have begun preparations for their upcoming match against Canal SC, scheduled for Wednesday evening as part of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Eagles resumed training at the Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium following their return from Uganda on Sunday evening, having secured a 2-1 victory over Kitara FC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Round of 32.
Al Ahly head coach Hussein Amouta held an extended team meeting before training, during which he reviewed several tactical aspects of the Kitara FC encounter, discussed preparations for the Canal SC fixture, and outlined plans for the coming period.
The players then completed recovery sessions and a series of varied drills as part of a programme designed by the technical staff to help the squad cope with a demanding fixture schedule in the coming weeks.
Al Ahly defeated Uganda’s Kitara FC 2-1, with Omar El Saaiy and Ahmed Sayed Zizo scoring for the Egyptian side.
The Red Eagles had also beaten Zamalek 2-0 in their most recent Egyptian Premier League match, with Mohamed Hany and Mounsef Bakrar getting on the scoresheet.
