CAF, EFA Delegations Praise Precautionary Measures at Al Ahly Stadium
Delegations from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) visit Al Ahly stadium on Wednesday afternoon to approve the license of the stadium as the official home venue of the Eagles in local and continental competitions for the 2020-2021 season.
The delegations included Ahmed Salem, CAF's Competitions Committee member, Dr. Sherif Abu El Ayoun, CAF's Medical Committee Member, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al Ela, EFA's Medical Committee Member.
They were received by Major General Alaa Salah, Head of Security at Al Ahly headquarters in El Gezira and head of security of the football sector, Hanan El Ziny, Al Ahly's Head of Licences and Regulations, Dr Sherif Shedid, General Manager of Al Ahly stadium and Colonel Mamdouh Ragheb, Director of Al Ahly stadium.
The delegations checked the pitch condition, the quality of the grass, the entrances and exits of the stadium, as well as the dressing room, the press conference room and reassured about the availability of the communication services.
The delegations praised the precautionary measures, implemented at the stadium and they reviewed the emergency evacuation plans, based on the stadium's capacity.
