El Khatib: Al Ahly Players Are Like My Sons

Al Ahly’s President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib described his relationship with all of Al Ahly’s players, stating that he treats them like his sons.

Captain El Khatib said that he cherishes and values the relationship that he has with all of Al Ahly’s players.

Additionally, President El Khatib expressed his happiness after Al Ahly’s 2-1 victory against Zamalek SC in the final of the CAF Champions League title.

“After congratulating everyone, I remembered last year’s game against Mamelodi Sundowns and I thanked God.”

“I felt that we will win the CAF Champions League title after that game against Mamelodi Sundowns last season when I saw the support of the fans even though we were knocked out of the competition.”

“Walid Soliman, our veteran player, gifted me his CAF Champions League medal; however I refused to take it.”

“He deserves to have this medal, It is an honor for him and his family.”
