Al Ahly President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib stated that changing four managers in the board's term was due to many circumstances, adding that Al Ahly always seeks for stability.
In the current board's term, the team was coached by Patrice Carteron, Martin Lasarte, René Weiler, and Pitso Mosimane.
"After the COVID-19 pandemic, Weiler wanted to be with his family and that is what we felt so we decided to sign a manager who can lead the club's long-term project."
"Therefore, we signed Pitso Mosimane for two seasons, which was different to the strategy of signing the manager for one season, the strategy we followed in the past period."
"We decided to sign Mosimane for two seasons to give him a chance to build the team and achieve our ambitions. Mosimane is a great manager and he has much experience in African football."
