Al Ahly defeated Sporting 29-22 in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Handball Super Cup on Wednesday to reach the tournament’s final.
After trailing 15-13 at halftime, the Red Eagles produced a strong second-half performance to secure the win at the New Capital Sports Hall.
Al Ahly will face Smouha, who beat Zamalek earlier on Wednesday, in the final to be held in the United Arab Emirates on 12 November.
The Egyptian Handball Super Cup marks the start of the new sports season and features four teams: Al Ahly, Zamalek, Smouha and Sporting.
