Latest Decisions of Al Ahly’s Board of Directors

Club

Al Ahly's board of directors, headed by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, held a video conference meeting on Thursday night to discuss many important files.

President El Khatib and the club’s Executive Manager, Mohamed Morgan, were at the meeting room of the board of directors in Al Ahly’s premises in Sheikh Zayed, discussing the meeting’s agenda with the rest of our board through video conference. 

Our board of directors was keen to hold the meeting through video conference in order to abide by the precautionary measures that are set to combat the spread of COVID-19. 

The meeting started with our board sending their condolences to Zamalek SC for the loss of their current president, Ahmed El Bakry, who passed away today.

Then, our board discussed several files and took the following decisions: 

- The extension of all the contracts of our managers and the appointment of Brigadier Ahmed El Nahas as the director of the club’s branch in Nasr City

- The appointment of Mohamed El Alfy, Director of Services, at the club’s premises in Gezira, as a supervisor on the services and the outlets in the club’s other branches

- The promotion of Ashraf Omar Mohamed to the position of Deputy Director of the Marketing Department 

The aforementioned three will be re-evaluated after 3 months, as part of the club’s efforts to provide the best service for the club’s members. 

The board allowed Tarek Khairy, the head coach of Al Ahly’s men’s handball team, to work as a pundit at the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship, which will be held in Egypt between 13 and 31 January. Also, the board allowed Yasser El Ramly, Head of the handball sector, to work as a coordinator for the International Handball Federation during the competition.

The board urged all the club members, the sports teams, to strongly adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures to combat COVID-19 for the safety and security of everyone, stressing the importance of using sanitizers, wearing facemasks, and avoiding gathering and closed places. 

The meeting witnessed coordination between the executive committee and the club’s medical committee, to abide by the precautionary and preventive measures to combat COVID-19.
