Match Report: Al Ahly 4-0 Al Ittihad Alexandria

Al Ahly defeated Al Ittihad Alexandria 4-0 today at Al Ahly Stadium in the third fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

We had a strong start to the game as Aliou Dieng fired a screamer but it went over the bar. In the 6th minute, Al Ahly’s goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy saved a dangerous shot from Al Ittihad striker.

In the 17th minute, our winger Kahraba scored the opener after a wonderful assist from Taher Mohamed Taher, who carried the ball from our half, dribbling three Al Ittihad players before providing an amazing pass to Kahraba, who put the ball in the back of the net.

We kept our pressure to score another goal as Taher shot a strong ball, but his shot missed the target.

Our winger, Taher Mohamed Taher, was forced to leave the pitch after suffering a rib injury. He was replaced by Hussein El Shahat.

We missed another scoring chance in the 37th minute, as Sherif’s shot went over the bar. The minutes went by and the referee blew his half time whistle.

El Shenawy was needed once again in the 46th minute, as he blocked Cisse’s dangerous shot to keep our net clean.

El Shahaat received an impressive long pass from Ali Maaloul that allowed him to double the score after dribbling the opponent's defender.

Again we missed another scoring chance in the 55th minute, as Sherif shot the ball over the bar, but in the 60th minute, he succeeded to score an impressive goal after a great assist from El Shahaat.

Mosimane used his bench once again in the 65th minute, as Marwan Mohsen and Salah Mohsen joined the game instead of Kahraba and Mohamed Sherif. Five minutes later, both Walid Soliman and Beckham replaced El Shahaat and Hamdy Fathy.

Akram Tawfik added our fourth goal in the game as a result of Maaloul’s great assist to confirm our domination in the game.

We missed several scoring chances at the end of the game as Salah Mohsen’s and Walid’s shots were blocked by Al Ittihad’s goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhy.

The referee blew his final whistle to declare another impressive win for the Red Eagles in the league.
