Minister Sobhy: I Wish Al Ahly All The Best

Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy stated that he has complete faith in Al Ahly’s first team, ahead of the Red Eagles' participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Al Ahly’s President Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib received Minister Sobhy at Al Ahly’s premises in Gezira on Friday morning.

Speaking about his visit, Minister Sobhy said the following:

“It was very important to visit the club today in order to support the team before their trip to Qatar. Al Ahly will be representing the entirety of Egyptian football in such a prestigious tournament.”

“I wish the team all the best and I hope that they represent Egyptian football in the best possible manner.”

Moreover, Minister Sobhy spoke with the players, in the presence of President El-Khatib, and told them that he has complete faith in their abilities.

Adding that all fans have high hopes that Al Ahly’s first team will do their best in the competition.

Minister Sobhy, also stated that he expects the players to show the same spirit and determination, which the Egyptian handball national team showed in the 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship.

Additionally, Minister Sobhy stated that Al Ahly’s achievements reflect the developments made in the entirety of all Egyptian sports institutions.

Minister Sobhy concluded by stating that sportsmanship in Egyptian football is important among all fans, in order to further develop the game.
