Our manager, Pitso Mosimane spoke following Al Ahly’s goalless draw with Pyramids F.C. in the tenth fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

During his post-match press conference, Mosimane reflected on today’s draw.

“We had a good match against a tough opponent. I have to give credit to the midfield players. They really worked very hard and they were tactically disciplined. However, we were not lucky in today’s game.”

“We played a balanced game against Pyramids, who are quick on counter-attacks. Also, we managed to defend well against their key players.”

“It was difficult for Beckham to play against Ramadan Sobhy because Ramadan doesn’t track back. However, Beckham managed to deal with him really well; despite the fact that Beckham didn’t play in his best position.”

“I really liked the performance of our players in today’s match especially in the second half, where we managed to create several chances.”

“Bwalya needs some luck in order to score a goal. I feel sorry for him. That’s all he needs and we have to support him.”

“We hope Hany’s injury isn’t that severe. However, Beckham played well today. We also need to have Akram Tawfik back, as he can also play well in that position.”

“I prefer not to talk about the referee’s performance. Sometimes you can play well and not win the match. That’s normal and it happens in any league in the world.”
