Qomsan: We Deserved to Reach the Final

Al Ahly’s Assistant Coach Samy Qomsan said that our team deserved to reach the Egyptian Cup final, after defeating Al Ittihad Alexandria 2-1 tonight in the semi-final. 

“We played a good game and succeeded to reach the final, as we seek to win the title this season. We are all here aiming to clinch this title, and we are so close after defeating a tough opponent.”

“Our players had a fighting spirit and they insisted to win the game and reach the final, despite being exhausted from our game against Zamalek in the CAF Champions League final. They all showed a great spirit and succeeded to win, especially after conceding a goal from Al Ittihad.”

“Al Ahly’s President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib motivated the team after winning the African title, and he stressed the importance of winning the Egyptian Cup and this encouraged us more to win.”
