Riveiro proud of Al Ahly tenure, thanks club for supportSpanish coach Jose Riveiro has expressed his gratitude to Al Ahly after concluding his stint as head coach of the club’s first team, calling the experience a "great honour" and a source of pride for both himself and his coaching staff.

“It’s time to say goodbye,” Riveiro said in a farewell message. “But I leave with love and gratitude for Al Ahly. I arrived just three months ago, and it was a tremendous honour to work within such a prestigious institution and to help lead the team in major international and domestic competitions.”

The 49-year-old thanked the club’s board of directors, led by President Mahmoud El-Khatib, along with his backroom staff, for their support during his time in Cairo. “I’m proud of what we achieved and grateful to everyone who supported me,” he said.

“I’ll continue to support Al Ahly from afar and wish the club and its passionate fans all the best. It was a fantastic experience full of challenges, and an honour to represent the Al Ahly badge,” Riveiro added.
