Saleh: We Trust and Support Mosimane

Al Ahly's Head of Planning Committee Mohsen Saleh expressed his happiness after appointing our new coach Pitso Mosimane for two years.

"Weiler decided to leave the club, so we had to move fast to find another coach to fit in this position especially during these critical times. We were confident about our choice as Weiler showed his willingness to leave so we needed to take this decision".

"Our president Captain Mahmoud El Khatib asked us to find the new coach in a very short time, and he affirmed that the new coach must have great knowledge about African football and to be ready to start immediately as we do not have time".

"We received a lot of CVs who belong to different styles such as Brazilian, Dutch and Argentinian schools".

"We also put another plan in case we could not sign a foreign coach, which is appointing one of our homegrown coaches, but finally we reached an agreement with Pitso Mosimani". 

"Mosimane is an African coach with European mentality and he has a great experience and an impressive career. El Khatib reached an agreement with Mamelodi Sundowns chairman and then Amir Tawfiq contacted Mosimane and finalized all the terms in the contract".
