Samir: Glad to Be Back
Our defender Saad Samir was very happy as he played against AS SONIDEP tonight, after being sidelined for a year due to an ankle injury.
"I am so glad that I played today with the team against AS SONIDEP. I suffered a very tough injury and I needed a long time to be fully recovered. Also, I would like to thank our coaching staff, headed by Coach Pitso Mosimane and my teammates."
"Mosimane was very keen to prepare me and to encourage me. He also informed me that I will play today, once we achieve a good result in the match. Mosimane always work on preparing all the players, and I will always do my best to be included in the main XI."
"Mosimane is in continuous contact with the experienced players in the team, such as Mohamed El Shenawy, Walid Soliman and Ayman Ashraf. He always discusses with them all things related to the team. He has a great experience and knows how to deal with all the players in the team."
"My goal is to keep participating in the upcoming games, as I want the team to win all the titles to make our beloved fans happy."
"Also I would like to thank our Board of Directors, headed by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, as he was always checking on me, besides his great support to all my teammates."
"I would like to thank our Director of Football Sayed Abdelhafiz and my teammates who were supporting me during my injury. Also, I wish our players Mohamed Mahmoud and Mahmoud Metwally a speedy recovery."
Samir also commented on Benoun's first goal with Al Ahly, as he scored from the spot during tonight's game.
"Walid gave the penalty to Benoun to score his first goal today with Al Ahly. This gesture shows the great spirit in the team. Walid and Benoun are two great players and they both knew how to score from the penalty spot."
"Benoun adapted quickly with us and he is showing a great performance. I hope that all of us keep the good performance and the great spirit to keep Al Ahly always at the top."
