Samir: The Bronze Medal is Our Gift to the Fans

Al Ahly’s defender Saad Samir expressed his happiness after defeating Brazil's Palmeiras and securing the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup. 

“The bronze medal is our gift to the fans; such achievement will go down in the history books.”

Al Ahly’s goalkeeper and captain, El Shenawy granted Al Ahly a 3-2 victory on penalties over Palmeiras after saving three penalty shots in the shoot-out.
