Sherif, El Shahat, El Soulia Lead Al Ahly to a Precious Victory Over Enppi SC

First Team, Alahly, Egyptian Premier League, Football

Al Ahly’s football first team achieved an important victory over Enppi SC on Saturday in a match postponed from the 13th fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Eagles pulled up an impressive attacking performance during today’s encounter, with Al Ahly’s trio Hussein El Shahat, Mohamed Sherif, and Amr El Soulia guiding us to a precious 3-1 victory.

Brilliant Start

With only 30 seconds into the game, the current title holders were able to score the opening goal in the match as El Shahat managed to convert the ball to the net after receiving a brilliant long pass from Ramy Rabia, our defender.

Extending The Lead

After giving us the lead in the encounter, El Shahat made his second appearance in the 3rd minute of the game, when he provided Sherif, our striker, with a sensational pass.

Sherif, then, took the opportunity and doubled the score for the Red Eagles from a clinical finish that found the left side of Mahmoud Gad, Enppi SC’s goalkeeper.

Ending The First Half In Style

Our men’s football team added Al Ahly’s third goal in the match when Al Ahly’s duo: Amr El Soulia and Mohamed Magdy Afsha executed a tactical plan in one of our set-pieces.

Instead of crossing the ball into Enppi SC’s box, Afsha passed it to El Soulia who fired a screamer that found the net.

Surprise Opening to the Second Half

At the start of the second half, Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly’s head coach, substituted Sherif with Salah Mohsen, our striker.

In the 55th minute of the game, Ramy Sabry, Enppi’s defender, scored the first goal for our opposition from the spot.

Solid Defense From the Eagles

The Red Eagles kept a solid defense in the minutes that followed Enppi SC’s goal, maintaining our 3-1 lead in the game.

Triple Substitution

In the 72nd minute of the encounter, Al Ahly made three substitutions with Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, El Soulia, and Mahmoud Kahraba making way for Nasser Maher, Aliou Dieng, and Taher Mohamed Taher.

Taher’s first touch was about to find the net; however, he was offside.

Additionally, Afsha also was about to add our fourth goal in the game, but Gad managed to save the ball.

Final Substitution

Walid Soliman, our veteran, replaced Afsha, who looked tired, in the 79th minute of the match.

Final Whistle

The Red Eagles had the upper hand in the last couple of minutes in the game; however, we were unable to add our fourth goal as the referee blew his final whistle to give Al Ahly three precious points in the team's journey to defend their title.
