Al Ahly’s winger, Taher Mohamed Taher spoke following our 1-0 victory over Qatar’s Al-Duhail SC in the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup.

In his post-match interview, Taher stated that the team managed to put on a strong performance in today's match, adding that Al Ahly deserves the victory.

“We analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of Al-Duhail SC. Moreover, we played a great tactical game. We managed to defend very well.”

“Although we weren’t at our best performance during the second half, yet we were able to advance to the next round.”

“Bayern Munich are a great team with a huge history. They are the European champions and definitely, it won’t be an easy match.”

The Red Eagles will face Bayern Munich on Monday in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup, after defeating Al-Duhail SC 1-0 in the first round of the tournament.
