Seven young players promoted to Al Ahly first-team training
Al Ahly’s first-team coaching staff have promoted seven players from the club’s youth sector to train with the senior squad during the international break, with several first-team players away on national-team duty.
The players called up to first-team training are Zidan Nagah, Mohamed El-Sayed, Yassin Mohamed, Mohab Wael, Omar Abu Ghazala, Abdelrahman Rami “Mano,” and Ahmed El-Sheikh. They will take part in training sessions to help cover for the absence of the club’s international players.
Al Ahly are continuing their preparations during the international break with a training programme designed to maintain the players’ fitness and readiness ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The Red Eagles also played a friendly against Libya’s Al-Ittihad Misurata SC on Monday as part of the coaching staff’s plan to make the most of the international break.
The match provided an opportunity for several players to feature and allowed the coaching staff to assess their technical and physical levels ahead of the resumption of official competition.
