Al Ahly’s first-team resumed their preparations on Tuesday for Aswan SC’s game in the Egyptian Premier League at El Tetsh Stadium.
Our players are back to training after having a 24-hour rest on Monday following our 3-2 win over El Entag El Harby SC.
Pitso Mosimane, our head coach, started today’s training session with a meeting with the players, during which our coach highlighted the importance of the upcoming match against Aswan as our team seeks to take the maximum points from the postponed games.
Intense Training Game
Our players then performed several fitness exercises then they had several football drills which rounded off with strong training games.
Michel Iaancone, Al Ahly’s goalkeeping coach, held an intense training session for our goalkeepers, Ali Lotfy, Mostafa Shobier, Hamza Alaa, and Ahmed Tarek.
Walid Soliman’s Recovery
Walid Soliman continued his rehabilitation program on the sidelines of today’s training session.
Our winger trained at the gym then he carried out some running drills as well as several recovery exercises.
Soliman is expected to return to full training within the next 10 days, according to Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al Ahly’s medical staff.
Moreover, our team celebrated Pitso Mosimane’s birthday and congratulated Hamdy Fathy, our midfielder, on his wedding. Also, the players congratulated Hamdy Fathy with a traditional fun guard of honor.
The Red Eagles are set to face Aswan SC on Thursday in a postponed game from Matchday 17 of the Egyptian Premier League.
