Ammar Hamdy, Al Ahly’s football first-team midfielder, will travel to Austria on Friday to undergo the ACL surgery.
Hamdy is set to undergo the ACL surgery on Sunday under the supervision of Christian Fink, the same doctor who performed the surgery for Akram Tawfik.
Ahmed Abu Abla, Al Ahly’s doctor, will travel to Ammar on Sunday after the return of the team’s delegation from Sudan on Saturday.
Hamdy was forced to miss the FIFA Club World Cup after tearing out his ACL in one of the team’s training sessions ahead of the competition.
