Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly’s football first team head coach, spoke on Thursday in the pre-match press conference of our game against Raja of Casablanca in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

In his pre-match press conference, Mosimane gave his opinion on the game and talked about team’s ambitions ahead of the second leg.

“We expect Friday’s game to be a tough one, as we will be playing against an experienced team with great history. Therefore, we are fully concentrated on the game.”

“We were able to defeat Raja in the CAF Super Cup and in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. We will be looking forward to defeating them tomorrow and qualifying for the next round.”

“Of course, we will be competing against them on the pitch but that doesn’t affect the strong relationship between both teams off the pitch.”

“We will be missing several key players in Friday’s game due to injury. Badr Benoun is one of those key players who is very beneficial for the team but won’t be able to play. However, that’s part of football and we will do our best with those who are available to play in order to qualify for the next round.”

Mosimane concluded his pre-match press conference by stating that the team has what it takes to qualify for the next round despite playing the second leg away from him and with the attendance of Raja fans.
