Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly president, welcomed on Monday morning a delegation from Al Wehdat SC of Jordan, headed by Bashar Al-Hawamdeh, the president of the club.

El Khatib expressed his happiness with the visit of Al Wehdat's delegation, which reflects the strong ties between the two clubs. 

"It was a friendly meeting with president El Khatib. We always enjoy historic relations with Al Ahly and we are happy to be here today." Al-Hawamdeh said. 

The Jordanian delegation toured the club's premises in Gezira and praised the sports infrastructure inside the club.

"Al Ahly is the pride of the Arab nation. We have much admiration for the success that Al Ahly achieved throughout the years on different levels. This success story is an inspiration to all the Arab clubs." 

"We hope to be able to sign players from Al Ahly in the future and we would like to organize a friendly match between Al Ahly and Al Wehdat in Cairo or Amman." 

At the end of the visit, El Khatib and Al-Hawamdeh exchanged shields, emblems and jerseys.
