Al Ahly’s first football team concluded their Egyptian Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Masry in the final round of the domestic competition at Borg El Arab Stadium on Wednesday.
The Red Eagles dominated possession from the outset, with Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet opening the scoring just two minutes into the match with a powerful strike from inside the box.
However, after Yassin Marei was sent off, Al Ahly dropped deeper defensively until Aliou Dieng won a penalty, which Trezeguet converted to seal the second goal.
With this result, Al Ahly’s tally rises to 53 points.
Meanwhile, Trezeguet, who took his season tally to 11 goals, was named Man of the Match after scoring twice against Masry on Wednesday.
