
Our Players Speak After Winning FCWC’s Bronze Medal
Our football first team players expressed their happiness after winning the bronze medal of the FIFA Club World Cup for the second consecutive season by defeating Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia 4-0 in the third-place playoff match of the competition.
We had the chance to interview some of our players following the game to ask them about their thoughts after accomplishing such an important achievement.
Here is what they said following the game:
Mohamed El Shenawy (team captain):
“I would like to congratulate the players. They were up to the challenge. We wanted to reach the final. We were focused and concentrated on the game. This medal is our gift to the fans who have been supporting us in the past period.”
Ali Maaloul:
“It was a tough game tonight against a big team. We made sure to score since the beginning. We we’re concentrated ahead of the match and looked forward to winning the bronze medal.”
Mohamed Hany:
“Despite all the challenges that we faced ahead of the tournament, yet we were up to the challenge and managed to win the bronze medal. This current generation of players are very ambitious and are keen to keep on winning in order to please our fans. We will celebrate tonight and will start concentrating on what’s next from tomorrow.”
Karim Fouad:
“I am so happy to win today’s game and to achieve the bronze medal of the FIFA Club World Cup. All the players had a fighting spirit and they were keen to win the bronze medal to make our fans happy. Also, the support of our fans motivated us a lot to win today’s game. Finally, I hope to participate again in the competition and accomplish a greater achievement next time.”
