Al Ahly senior handball team will face Zamalek on Thursday in the third-place playoff for the bronze medal at the IHF Men’s Club World Championship, currently being hosted by Egypt.
The match will take place at the New Administrative Capital Sports Hall and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. local time.
The Red Eagles will be looking to secure victory and claim the bronze medal as they conclude their campaign at the tournament.
Al Ahly opened their campaign against Veszprém, suffering a 31-23 defeat to the Hungarian side.
They then bounced back with a 35-17 victory over Kuwait’s Burgan before closing out the group stage with a 30-27 win over German side Füchse Berlin.
The result saw Al Ahly finish second in their group and book their place in the bronze-medal playoff against Egyptian rivals Zamalek.
