Hashem: Our Players Were Keen to Win the Competition 

AL Ahly basketball women's team head coach, Ali Hashem, expressed his happiness after winning the National League title. 

Hashem spoke following the team’s  61-57 victory against Sporting SC on Monday in the second leg of the National League final at the Suez Canal Authority Sports Hall. 

“Our players managed to put on a strong performance and they were keen to win the competition to please Al Ahly fans.”

“Al Ahly deserved to win this competition especially after demonstrating excellent performances throughout the tournament. Moreover, everyone in the team exerted their maximum efforts during the whole season.”

Lastly, Hashem wished a speedy recovery for all the players who tested positive for COVID-19, which is currently widespread between several basketball teams in Egypt.
