Egypt’s Ambassador to DR Congo: Al Ahly Can Overcome AS Vita Club’s Challenge

Egypt’s Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Hamdy Shaaban stated that Al Ahly players are able to achieve the victory against DR Congo’s AS Vita Club on Tuesday.

“Al Ahly have many talented players who achieved the FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal just weeks ago. They can win the game and secure qualification to the next round in their journey to defend their African title.”

“Al Ahly is the African Club of the 20th Century and the club’s trip to DR Congo is a big celebration as Al Ahly is a prestigious club and has good reputation in Africa.”

“The coordination between the embassy and Al Ahly’s officials began before Al Ahly’s arrival in DR Congo as Al Ahly officials were keen to arrange everything ahead of the trip.”

“The embassy provided all the facilitations for the team since their arrival and we also had full coordination with the Congolese side to apply the COVID-19 precautionary measures.”

“The whole Egyptian community in DR Congo supports Al Ahly against AS Vita Club.”
