Al Ahly’s head of the medical staff, Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, announced that the team tested negative for COVID-19, ahead of their trip to Tanzania on Friday.
The Red Eagles are set to face Tanzania's Simba SC in the second fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage on the 23rd of February.
The team underwent the COVID-19 test as part of the precautionary measures which are applied amid the coronavirus pandemic.
We managed to win our opening game of the group stage against Al Merrikh SC on Tuesday, as we defeated the Sudanese team 3-0 at Cairo International Stadium.
