Mohamed Sherif, Al Ahly’s forward, expressed his happiness in winning the CAF Champions League title.
In his post-match interview, Sherif, who scored the opening goal in the final, revealed the secret behind the title.
“All the players pledged on winning the CAF Champions League title, after participating in the previous FIFA Club World Cup in order to return once again to the tournament.”
“The final was very difficult, but we were determined to win the title to please our fans.”
The Red Eagles secured the prestigious title after defeating South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 on Saturday night at Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca.
