El Shenawy: We Have No Option But To Win

Mohamed El Shenawy, Al Ahly captain, spoke to the press on Friday night before our game against Al Merrikh of Sudan in a game postponed from Matchday 1 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

In the pre-match press conference, El Shenawy discussed the preparations for the game and the team's situation in the group ahead of tomorrow's game. 

"It is a crucial match for us. We have no option but to win. There is no other choice. We will do our best to win the game. We are expecting a tough match against a strong team but we are ready."

"I spoke to the players about the importance of winning the remaining matches in the group. Our current goal is to advance to the next round and we will fight to continue our journey in the competition."

"We created many chances against Mamelodi Sundowns and we could have won with huge result but we will not look back. Our focus now is on tomorrow's match."
